About Our Client
Our client is a premier interior design firm based in Boise, Idaho, recognized for its sophisticated aesthetic, thoughtful attention to detail, and full-service approach to creating timeless, elevated spaces. Led by a visionary Founder and Principal, the firm partners with discerning clients to deliver curated, high-impact design experiences rooted in both creativity and precision.
About the Role
Our client is seeking a Business Manager to serve as a strategic partner and trusted right hand to the Founder. This individual will be deeply embedded in the firm’s operations—helping manage the details that keep projects, finances, and growth initiatives running smoothly.
The ideal candidate is a strategic executor: someone who can both think big and act small, with the ability to translate ideas into action. They will thrive in an environment that values nuance, aesthetics, and forward-thinking problem-solving.
This role will serve as a key operational leader, providing day-to-day structure while also helping guide strategic growth across multiple facets of the business—from financial management and vendor coordination to process improvement and system development.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day business operations to ensure efficiency and continuity.
- Support budgeting, expense tracking, and light accounting in collaboration with external financial partners.
- Partner closely with the Founder to set strategic goals and implement growth initiatives.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of an ecommerce platform and other internal systems.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and furniture procurement logistics.
- Help organize project timelines, deliverables, and client communications.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations.
- Serve as a key liaison internally and externally, helping translate vision into execution.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in business management, operations, or a related role—ideally within a creative, design, or AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) environment.
- Strong business acumen and financial literacy.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Highly adaptable, tech-savvy, and able to learn new tools quickly.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and action-driven with a strong sense of ownership.
- Interest or background in design, architecture, or construction is preferred but not required.
Work Environment
This position offers flexibility in both structure and schedule. While our client is open to either a full-time or part-time contract arrangement, the ideal candidate will maintain a semi-regular hybrid schedule based in Boise, Idaho, with some in-person collaboration at the studio.
